Bed and Breakfast in natural park Cabo de Gata
Concha
La Concha was designed by the architect Luis Santos Morueco and was built in 1993. Its shell-shape is in perfect harmony with the hill it is on, 90 percent of which is made of marine fossils. The house is situated in a nature spot, called Campico de Fazahalí, near the neigbourhood of Cueva del Pájaro, part of the Carboneras district (Almería). At only 4 miles from the unique beaches of the Cabo de Gata natural park, you can spend your holidays in the heart of nature. In this area there are mountains, sea and above all tranquility, as well as 320 days of sun a year.
The countryside is volcanic and sedimentary, full of marine fossils and with a red and ochre glow to the landscape. Dotted with innumerable conical shapes of ancient volcanoes, green oasises shine as they meet the blue of the Mediterranean Sea.
